How to choose a tongue scraper
A tongue scraper is a small tool you draw across the tongue, then rinse. People usually use it after brushing, as one step in a routine, not instead of a brush or floss.
This is shopping help. It does not treat anything, and it does not promise fresher breath. If you want advice for your own mouth, ask a dentist. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Materials
Stainless steel is the metal on this shelf. It is a firm edge you rinse and use again. Copper scrapers exist in other shops. Dental Surf does not list a copper scraper.
Plastic scrapers here are disposable strips made with recycled plastic. You use one and throw it away. A metal scraper stays at the sink until the edge bends or the handle cracks.
Shapes
A common metal shape is a wide U with a handle on each side. One listing on the shelf is a spoon and a U-shape in the same pack, with a travel case.
The plastic cleaners are flat strips, some with a fold-back pick. Pick the shape that is easy to hold. There is no single shape that fits every person.
How people fit one into a routine
A typical pass starts toward the back of the tongue and moves forward. Rinse the scraper, then repeat if you want a second pass. Rinse your mouth after.
SurfStack can place a scraper in a morning or evening kit next to a brush and floss. The 3D mouth page also jumps to the tongue-care shelf.
Cleaning, replacing, and travel
Rinse a metal scraper after each pass, and wash it with the other sink tools. Replace it when the edge is bent or the grip feels loose. Follow the pack for a disposable plastic cleaner.
For a bag, pick a scraper that comes with a case so the metal edge is not loose against a toothbrush. The travel oral-care kit post treats a scraper as optional, and tongue scrapers stay off the HSA shelf.
Stainless steel
Reusable metal scrapers already on the shelf. Prices are the ones captured for these cards and can change at the store.
Shape and plastic
A spoon and U-shape in one stainless pack, plus a recycled-plastic disposable.
Travel case
A two-pack of stainless scrapers with a case for each one.
HSA shelf
Tongue scrapers stay off the HSA shelf. Fluoride paste, brushes, floss, and rinse are the items that shelf gathers. Eligibility varies by plan. Dental Surf does not guarantee coverage or reimbursement.
